It all started in 2017 when our first child started taking independent steps. I Googled and researched different groups to find out which are the most foot-friendly shoes to choose for your baby’s first steps. It was suggested to look at barefoot shoes, and that’s how we arrived at them. I’m proud to say that both our children have only worn barefoot since their first steps.
2018. aastal, peale teise lapse sündi, tundsin ka ise, et mu jalad ei mahu enam olemasolevatesse jalatsitesse ära. Ükski jalanõu ei olnud enam mugav. Soetasin ka ise esimesed barefoot jalanõud. Pärast mitut paari ebasobivates suurustes jalatseid ning mõningast proovimist ja katsetamist, olin lõpuks siiski müüdud. Mu varvastel ei olnud enam kitsas ja jalanõud ei olnud jalas ebamugavad. Praegu kannan ainult paljajalujalatseid ja oma vanu jalatseid proovides imestan, kuidas ma nendega üldse käia suutsin 😁

Since barefoot shoes were not available in Estonia at that time and everything had to be ordered from abroad, the idea came to start bringing them to the country myself. Thought about it. At the end of May 2019, we opened our own e-shop. We started by selling children’s barefoot shoes, cloth nappies and some baby accessories, which we stored in the garage of our home. We also welcomed customers in our home. A year later, almost every room was full of shoe boxes and merchandise, and in May 2020, we moved into our first small rental space. We steadily expanded our range of adult barefoot shoes and hired our first employee. In December of the same year, we moved to a larger space, where we are now. We stopped selling cloth nappies and baby accessories and focused on barefoot footwear. We have been steadily gaining space here on Ilmatsalu Street, but it looks like we will soon be running out of space here too. 🙂
